The Problem
27%
of computing workforce is made up by women
18%
of bachelors degrees in CS being earned by women
7.8%
of masters degrees in CS being earned by women
The Solution
Curriculum
We teach our students everything they need to know to code their first computer program in Scratch, a fun beginners-friendly language.
Creation
We provide the tools, but then we give our students creative freedom to explore the technology and innovate. The sky is the limit!
Connection
We prioritize a classroom where students are able to build genuine friendships with their peers and instructors through team building and mentorship.

About Camp
Girls Get IT is a classroom by women for women. Angelica and Georgia, best friends since kindergarten at Brentwood School, are now college students at University of Southern California and Harvard University studying computer science. The duo wished that they had an opportunity to discover their passion for technology at a younger age…
So in 2017, they hosted their first session of Girls Get IT to teach and inspire the next generation of girls who code. Four summers later, Girls Get IT remains always the highlight of Angelica and Georgia’s summer, and so they’ve decided to turn their passion project into a business.
Camp is open to female identifying and non-binary students between the ages of 7-12, and no experience is required.
